here is a particular light on a hot Canterbury nor’ wester evening when the sun drops below the arch of clouds that has a certain clarity and colour that is almost surreal and magical. Just that brief few moments that etches memories into our minds for a lifetime. Revelling in those colours, moments and textures of our beautiful countryside, Linelle Stacey skilfully captures the essence of that magic onto her canvas.
Located in Christchurch, NZ artist Linelle Stacey creates contemporary acrylic landscapes with a magical quality. With customers throughout the world Linelle’s works are easily recognised and sort after investments.
“For me art gives pleasure and adds to the quality of our lives. I couldn’t imagine living without itI paint iconic New Zealand landscapes canvases, currently I am working on a Cave Rock seascape, a Lake Pukaki scene with the Southern Alps as a backdrop and an Abel Tasman National Park painting. .”
Linelle began classes with a local Christchurch artist from a young age, moving to England in her teens where she attended Medway college of Design. On her return to New Zealand, Linelle had a private exhibition in Auckland and now continues selling her works successfully through the use of her clever internet marketing.
After several offers from galleries throughout Nz to display her works, Linelle has chosen Terrace Downs as the perfect venue to launch her 2011/12 collection.
