Wellington Phoenix to visit Bayfair Shopping Centre

The Wellington Phoenix will be visiting Bayfair Shopping Centre this week to meet and greet fans, ahead of their pre-season clash against the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday 25 September at Baypark Stadium. Bayfair will host the squad for a special signing event on Saturday 24 September, from 2pm to 3pm.

Devoted fans will have the chance to meet the squad, including All Whites heroes Mark Paston, Tim Brown, Ben Sigmund and Leo Bertos, plus crowd favourites Paul Ifill and Chris Greenacre. Promotional material will be handed out to fans to present to the players for autographs and they will also have the opportunity to take photos with their favourite players.

Wellington Phoenix CEO Nathan Greenham says the team is looking forward to meeting its Bay of Plenty supporters and generating further excitement for the game on Sunday. “Taking the Phoenix into other regions around New Zealand is an important part of what we do and is a great way to say thank you to our loyal fans that live outside Wellington.”

Bayfair marketing manager Nina Rivett says it is a pleasure to be hosting the Wellington Phoenix at the centre. “Football is a popular sport in the area and having the team visit the centre will mean a lot to the local fans.”
