SH32 Western side of Lake taupo

Police advise that the bad weather is causing slips on SH32, causing the Road to be blocked in a number of locations.

There have been 3 seperate slips in the last hour on SH32 between Kuratau Junction and Whakamaru.

Police advise motorists to avoid SH32 on the western side of Lake Taupo if possible.

SH30 near Rotoiti Forest has now been cleared by the Fire Service and both lanes are open to motorists.
