MARLBOROUGH

Mayor Alistair Sowman was at Mistletoe Bay on Monday for the opening of the new jetty serving the bay.

The Council, and Port Marlborough, have been supporters of the Mistletoe Bay Trust since it was formed in 2003 to develop the eco-village facilities at the bay.

Mr Sowman says the success of the Trust is partly due to the broad community support it has received from a diverse number of sources from inside Marlborough and beyond. He thanked the latest patrons; Bruce and Jessie Pulman of the HEB Group, Jason Gregory of Gregory Engineering and Mike Baker from N-Viro in Picton who have enabled the new jetty to be built.
