All eyes will be on Eden Park this weekend as Australia, France, New Zealand and Wales bid to reach the Rugby World Cup 2011 Final and keep alive their hopes of lifting the coveted Webb Ellis Cup.

Wales, looking to reach a first ever Rugby World Cup Final, and France will be first into action on Saturday, October 15, with Australia and Tournament hosts New Zealand coming face to face in the second semi-final a day later.

With the IRB and World Food Programme's (WFP) Tackle Hunger campaign already in full-swing at the Tournament, October 16 also marks World Food Day. It is the anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation, one of WFP’s key partners in fighting world hunger.

Among the objectives of World Food Day are to heighten public awareness of the problem of hunger in the world and strengthen international and national solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty.

The IRB is proud to play its part in promoting the Tackle Hunger message to the global Rugby community, helping to raise awareness of WFP’s work while drawing attention to the plight of the world's hungry.
