New Zealand will host more than 400 influential movers and shakers from around the world at the 2012 Entrepreneursʼ Organisation Queenstown University from 22 to 26 February 2012.

The five-star event is one of only three staged worldwide each year and interest is so high
that tickets for the event sold out in only eight hours – an unprecedented result.

“Clearly our global membership of 8000 leading business owners in 40 countries are turned
on by the idea of coming to New Zealand to learn, network, and embrace once-in-a-lifetime
adventures,” says Entrepreneursʼ Organisation (EO) Queenstown University Chairman Mat
Wylie.

“Like the Rugby World Cup, this is a golden opportunity to showcase ʻNew Zealand Incʼ to a
large global audience of influential people – exactly the kind of people New Zealand needs to attract for investment, innovation, and new ideas.”

Founded in 1987, EO aims to build the worldʼs most influential community of entrepreneurs
and enable them to learn from each other, leading to greater business success.

Membership is by invitation only and candidates must be the founder, co-founder, owner, or controlling shareholder of a company with an annual gross revenue of at least US$1 million. In practice, the average annual gross revenue of member companies is US$17.3 million and the total revenue of all members worldwide tops US$138 billion.

“EO Universities such as the one weʼre holding in Queenstown are staged three times a year in different locations around the world – the other two this year are in Amsterdam and Cuba,” says Wylie.

“Theyʼre high energy, multi-faceted events that provide our members with unique
opportunities to learn from world-leading speakers and experts while networking with their
peers.

“Weʼre working closely with KEA, the Kiwi Expat Association, to book the worldʼs most
influential and dynamic Kiwis to speak at the University. A detailed programme of events and speakers will be available closer to the conference.

“The Queenstown University will attract 400 top business people from around the world and
our expectation is that they will be transformed into raving fans of New Zealand as a
consequence.”
