Following New Zealand’s victorious win against France last night, the complete All Blacks squad will be in Christchurch for a victory parade down Rolleston Avenue tomorrow afternoon to celebrate their Rugby World Cup 2011 Tournament win.

The vehicle parade will start from the corner of Rolleston Avenue and Hereford Street at 3:30pm and will move north on Rolleston Avenue, continuing on Park Terrace to the corner of Bealey Avenue.

The parade will end up at the Fanzone in North Hagley Park and the All Blacks will be on stage there at 4pm. Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker will welcome the team, followed by words from Richie McCaw and Graham Henry.

Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker says this will provide the people of Christchurch the perfect opportunity to celebrate the country’s big win.

“We are thrilled to be hosting our Rugby heroes for the afternoon and I’m sure many Christchurch residents who have been watching all the action from afar will be delighted to come and cheer on their team in the flesh as they parade through our streets.

“With many of the team local boys, I want to encourage as many of you as possible to take time out and celebrate our country’s incredible sporting achievement by honouring the All Blacks during this parade.”

Rolleston Avenue and Park Terrace will be closed between 3:15pm and 4:15pm for the parade.

People are encouraged to dress in black and bring their New Zealand flags and signs to the parade in show of support for the All Blacks.

The All Blacks are only in Christchurch for tomorrow afternoon and are here specifically for the Victory Parade.
