Waikato’s three Rugby World Cup-winning All Blacks will be honoured at a special civic event in Garden Place tomorrow.

Stephen Donald, Richard Kahui and Mils Muliaina will arrive at Garden Place at 12.30pm on Friday, 28 October, and will be presented with gifts from the city.

The trio will also take a few questions from Waikato Rugby stalwart, former All Black and broadcaster Matthew Cooper on the Garden Place stage during the event, which is scheduled to last about 30 minutes.

Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker and Waikato Rugby Union chief executive Graham Bowen will publicly thank the All Blacks and acknowledge the significance of their Cup-winning efforts.

Ms Hardaker said: “We are absolutely thrilled the guys are giving up precious family time and commitments so they can be welcomed back to the city as World Champions.”

Mr Bowen said: “We’re incredibly proud of our Waikato All Blacks, and really happy we can celebrate their achievement in the city.”

The three players will arrive in style, in an All Black branded bus.
