Deputy Mayor Jenny Andrews and her grandson Jed enjoy the pre-schoolers' play area, with Channah and Issaac Maullin, at the Pollard Park playground.

The toddler play equipment is now enclosed inside a new fence and separate from the climbing frames designed for older children, making the area safe for the youngsters. Another sprung ride-on animal is yet to be installed.

It's created a safe play area for the little ones; they can't run off and they're less likely to be knocked over by larger children.
