Six men jointly charged in connection to Lower Hutt home invasion

Six men have tonight been jointly charged with aggravated burglary in connection to an incident at a Cambridge Terrace house last night.

Detective Sergeant Anthony Tebbutt of the Lower Hutt CIB says it's alleged that at about 6.50pm last night, six people smashed their way into the house, armed with a sledge-hammer and crow-bars and assaulting the occupants.

"This afternoon, Police arrested three men, aged 22 years and a further three men, two aged 22 and one aged 21 years have been arrested this evening. All have been jointly charged with aggravated burglary and will appear in the Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow morning."
