Truck versus Car Crash

At about 10:00am this morning on SH 1, in the vicinity of Waitetoko south of Taupo. There was a crash involving a truck versus car. The road is presently blocked north and south in the area of Mission Bay. There are several casualties including one person trapped who is presently categorised as Status 2. The trapped person was an occupant in the car. Emergency services are at the scene and an helicopter has been deployed to uplift injured parties. Traffic has been detoured from Taupo southbound and Turangi northbound.
