Fatal Crash

<p>At about 1.44am this morning, Sunday 4 December 2011, a fatal crash occurred in Dairy Flat, Auckland.<br /> <br /> A high powered motorcycle failed to take a corner and left the road in a rural area.<br /> <br /> Ambulance and Police attended the scene.<br /> <br /> The 52 year old male rider of the vehicle was thrown from the motor cycle and died at the scene.<br /> <br /> The 52 year old male pillion passenger has been taken to Auckland Hospital where he is in a serious condition with multiple leg fractures.<br /> <br /> A scene examination has been completed by the Serious Crash Unit assisted by lighting from the Fire Brigade.<br /> <br /> No further comment will be made by Police until the investigation by the serious crash unit is complete and next of kin have been informed.</p>
