Our roading contractors have advised that, to the best of their knowledge, all roads in the district are now open.

The only exception is Donald Lane Bridge in Kaitaia, which is closed due to large trees in the Whangatane Spillway below pushing up against the bridge's piles.

It may be closed until Monday morning when contractors will attempt to extract the trees using diggers.
