Police and emergency services tonight responded to assist a male who had fallen down a steep embankment.

Two neighbours heard noises near a steep embankment around 7pm. Upon investigation they discovered a male in difficulty some 15 metres from the top. Whilst waiting for emergency services using a tow rope and other equipment they were able to reach the male.

By the time of police and fire arrival two neighbours had managed to pull him back to the top of the embankment. The 50+ male that fell was a neighbour who had slipped while walking through bush.

Thankfully the neighbour whilst very tired was not injured, he was very appreciative of the assistance from his neighbours. Without their intervention serious injury or death could have resulted.
