Auckland City Police are concerned for the wellbeing of a mother and her young child who have not been seen since Christmas Day at the Auckland City Mission.

Natasha Pokai and her 3 month old baby daughter (Natasha Jazclynn Pokai) are believed to be living rough somewhere in the inner city or in the Parnell area.

Detective Trushell of the Auckland City Police, Child Protection Team, says that recent bad weather has heightened their concerns for the pair and appeal to anyone knowing of their whereabouts to contact the Auckland Police or Child Youth and Family.

Natasha Pokai is described as a Maori woman of medium build, about 1.5m tall, fair skinned, light brown hair below shoulder length (pony tail) and has missing front teeth.
