Missing child

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in the wider Wellington area to locate a 10 year old boy who went missing earlier this evening.

The child, called Nicholas, has medical conditions as a result of which he has the propensity to wander or travel extensively on occasion and could therefore have moved well outside his local area.

He was last seen in Avalon, Lower Hutt, just before 6 pm and then again sometime after 7 pm outside a relatives address in Kilbirnie, Wellington.

Police have been searching these and other possible locations without success and are appealing to anyone who may have seen him to contact them urgently.

He is described as:

Male Caucasian
Average height and build
Brown hair
Knee length blue shorts
White T-shirt with coloured shapes
