Discovery of Deceased Male

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found on a rural road south of Hamilton just before 5:00 am this morning. Hamilton CIB said the male was located near the intersection of Marychurch [also known as SH1B] and Bellvue Road by a passing motorist. The man died shortly after Police and Ambulance attended the scene.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was driving along Marychurch Road [SH1B] between Taupiri and Cambridge at about 4:30 to 5:00 this morning.

The man has not been identified as yet. No further information is available at this stage.
