Builderscrack.co.nz, a site which helps homeowners find tradesmen and compare quotes, has re-launched today with a fresh clean look.

Feedback from Rob in Wellington summed up customer feedback received by the popular site "Great website, works well, but it's uglier than my mother in law!". After being nominated for several ugly site awards, Builderscrack.co.nz decided it was time to ensure that the look of the site portrayed the same professional approach taken to ensuring that homeowners find the best tradespeople at a competitive price. “We have always had very positive reviews from customers about how the site works, but no one ever praised how it looked” said Director Jeremy Wyn-Harris.

In addition to giving the site a new skin the team at Builderscrack.co.nz also used the re-launch as an opportunity to capture and display accreditation information for the thousands of tradespeople that use the site. Wyn-Harris explained: “That means that you will now be able to see whether the tradespeople quoting on your job actually have the appropriate qualifications – you will seen on their profile whether they are a Licensed Building Practitioner, or a Registered Plumber or Electrician”

The site also makes it easier for homeowners to share details of tradesmen they are looking for on social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Google+, so they can take advantage of friends recommendations, alongside the 14,000 reviews left by customers who have completed work through the site.
