Police were advised at about 5.44pm on 9/2/12 of an incident at Motueka High School, where a 5 year old child has subsequently died.

It is understood that the child was playing around some trees that had previously been cut down and have fallen on the child.

Emergency services are still at the scene and a further media release will be completed when more information is available.
