Public Help Sought over Serious Crash

Police are appealing to members of the public with information about a crash involving a Nissan Skyline last evening on the North Western Motorway.

The Waitemata Serious Crash Unit are seeking witnesses who may have observed the movements of the white four door Nissan Skyline leading up to the crash.

They also need to locate the driver of a red vehicle with a damaged front bumper seen near the crash site at the time of the crash.

The crash occurred at about 9pm last night when the skyline which was travelling westward on the North Western motorway crashed into the railings and then a power transformer at the Patiki Road interchange.

The driver and sole occupant, Kawati Ross TIMOTI a 22 year old from Northcote, died at the scene.

The North Western Motorway was closed for 7 hours whilst emergency services cleared the crash site.
