Police name Nelson murder victim

The woman whose body was found in the back of a vehicle near Nelson Police Station on Monday has been formally identified.

She was Lisa Maree Corbett, 37, of Nelson.

Michael William Beca, aged 44, of no fixed abode, has been charged with Miss Corbett's murder. He appeared briefly in the Nelson District Court today and has been remanded in custody to appear on 27 March 2012.
