Serious Assault on Pitt Street, Auckland

At approximately 2.20pm Police were called to a Lunch Bar on Pitt Street after an altercation between 2 people.

As a result, a 45 year old female was taken to Auckland Hospital with serious injuries and is currently undergoing surgery.

The male is currently helping Police with their inquiries.

Police and CIB staff are presently examining the scene.
