Helensville Police have released the names of the two deceased who died at South Head as a result of an air crash incident at the weekend.

The two men have been identified as:

MITCHELL / George
Aged 74 years – DOB 01/07/1937:
Resident of Whangaparäoa:

WHITEMAN / Brian / Martin
Aged 73 years – DOB 06/09/1938:
Resident of Waiuku

Police will continue to assist the Civil Aviation Authority for as long as necessary. The circumstances surrounding the crash have been referred to the Coroner.
