Attempted Kidnap

At about 12.20 pm today, a male approached a 12 yr old girl who was at the Beckenham Primary School, Christchurch, and grabbed hold of her.  The girl managed to break free and phoned the police.

The male was described as being a Caucasian, with short hair, wearing a black jacket and black jeans. He was believed to be in his late 20's.

The girl was unharmed and is now safely at home with her parents.

Police are continuing their enquiries. No further media release will be made tonight.
