Pirate City Rollers presents The Good, The Bad, and The Derby 2012 season, once again with three teams competing for the precious bounty, AKA the Black Dahlia Cup. The highly anticipated first bout is on Saturday 21st April at the familiar battleground of YMCA Pitt St. It’s a roller derby showdown you won’t want to miss!

On the track will be the skeletal skaters in black, Dead Wreckoning, playing lean green Mascara Massacre. The teams have had a shake-up with some unexpected change-outs so be prepared to switch allegiances! But don’t worry, the crowd favourites are back, “Skate the Muss”, “Terror Satana” ,“Pieces of Hate”, “Tinkerbash” and “Bad Jelly the Bitch” delivering new strategies and new blocks with that old determination. Watch for the outstanding new players soon to be crowd favourites themselves.

At half-time there will be a Roller Girl Auction where bids will be placed on the skills of the multi-talented roller girls. Burlesque tutorial? Science Tutoring? Roller Girl driver for the night? Make sure to bid and help send the Pirate City Rollers travel team to Adelaide in June to compete in The Great Southern Slam tournament.

On bout night, arrive early to get the best seats. Bring your banners, cheer for the skaters and enjoy a great night of athleticism, showmanship, and competitive roller derby. There’ll be no guns toting in this showdown but plenty of fiery competition and more bang for your buck.
