Local business Steel and Tube came in for praise from Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace, during an industrial site visit to the warehousing facility in Hautanga Street, Petone.

“They have made a significant contribution to Lower Hutt over more than 40 years and chose the Hutt to site their corporate headquarters. They have continued to be committed to the city and have been good corporate citizens,” says Mayor Wallace.

“Steel and Tube employ more than 100 staff in the Lower Hutt and Wellington region and contribute to the prosperity of our city.

“The company is a major national organisation that has flourished operating out of its Lower Hutt base."
