Little fans of the Angelina Ballerina stories are invited to attend a special story time at the Invercargill Library on Tuesday, May 1 at 3.30pm.

Invercargill City Libraries Outreach Librarian Kirsty Graham said the library was delighted to have Hannah Kaye from the Royal New Zealand Ballet, who was travelling with the RNZB’s production of Angelina Ballerina.

“The library is hosting a story time unlike any other.

“Hannah Kaye is bringing along ballet shoes from the Angelina Ballerina production along with a large tutu that was used in Sleeping Beauty, to show the audience.

“Hannah will also present ballet steps, that she will teach the children,” Ms Graham said.

Ms Graham said Librarians would also be reading the Angelina Ballerina stories, which was a free event for all to join in and enjoy.

“We are super excited to host such an event and hope our library is full of little ballerinas.

“The Angelina Ballerina stories and television series have been hugely popular and this is a great way for children and parents to get up close to the equipment that is used in large productions.”
