Hungry For Time? Dine in style before the boss knows you're gone

The Grill by Sean Connolly has devised a savvy lunch menu for suits – and promises to get them in and out before the dust has settled at their desk.

The new Grilled for Time menu at the Federal St restaurant offers two courses ($35) or three courses ($45) of choice from an irresistible set menu of starters, mains and desserts.

Award-winning chef Sean Connolly knows the importance of the working lunch:

“Breaking bread will always be an important part of doing good business, whatever the industry. And everyone needs to eat lunch.

“But times are changing – sadly, the glory days of the long, alcohol-fuelled lunches are but a memory and we have to be more conscious of time and price. So we’ve come up with something we think Aucklanders will love. Quick and delicious, it’s a serious lunch option.”

And if you’re popping in from further afield, The Grill provides free valet parking when dining – simply drive into the SKYCITY Grand Hotel entrance and the friendly hotel staff will take it from there.

The new menu stays true to The Grill’s philosophy of offering innovative dishes using the very best in pasture-fed meat, wild venison and sustainable seafood and has a spectacular wine list to match.

It includes dishes such as suckling pig terrine, yellow belly flounder, duck ragu, a Wagyu burger and The Grill’s signature dish, the ’60 second’ steak with Dianne sauce.

There’s also a ‘bone for two’ option for sharers: a choice of slow lamb shoulder with red wine vinegar and star anise gravy, or King salmon tail with miso hollandaise.

The menu is also available as an early dinner option - drop in for a meal from 5.30pm and place an order before 6.30 to take advantage of the special prices.

The Grilled for Time menu is available from Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 2.30pm and from 5.30pm for the early dinner option.
