Bus crash

At about 9.15am this morning police, fire and ambulance were notified of a bus crash on Richardson Terrace Christchurch.

A school bus has collided with a railway overhead bridge. As a result of the crash the window screen of the bus has shattered and glass has gone inside the bus injuring some of the children. There were approximately 20 children on board at the time. There injuries are described as minor. Ambulance are treating them at the scene.

It is not known who the bus company was or what school the children were from.

A full investigation will be completed by police to establish the cause of the crash.
