NZ On Air gets behind theaudience.co.nz

NZ On Air is pleased to support theaudience.co.nz – a website for discovering new music and kick starting music careers.

theaudience is a partnership between Amplifier and NZ On Air.  The team has worked hard on this great project and we congratulate them all on their official launch.

theaudience.co.nz is a socially interactive and engaging music website that specifically focuses on unreleased songs and supporting up-and-coming artists.

Artists can share songs and communicate while fans can discover new music and compile and share playlists.

Fans can also vote for songs to earn places on a chart.  Top songs will be fast-tracked for consideration for NZ On Air Making Tracks grants.

“theaudience will be a great fan site but could also launch careers” says NZ On Air Chief Executive Jane Wrightson.  “We expect to be able to allocate around 10 Making Tracks funding grants each year to chart toppers chosen on theaudience.”

Music on theaudience will be available to be downloaded for free and the most popular songs will also feature on selected radio stations and TVNZU.
