Flooding

Police are starting to get calls in relation to flooding in parts of Auckland.

Met Service and Transit have alerts in place highlighting the likelihood of flooding on the North Western Motorway and SH1 near the Esmonde Road motorway interchange especially as the 8.00p.m. high tide approaches.

In addition calls have been received about flooding on Tamaki Drive near Ngapipi Rd.

Council and Transit contractors are aware of the situation, signage is in place and lanes will be closed as required.

Motorists are asked to take care and follow the directions of contractors.
