Vehicle Located

Police divers in Hamilton have located a submerged vehicle approximately 40m downstream from the Pukete Bridge at a depth of two to three metres.

Visibility is poor and the river is fast flowing.  Police divers are now planning the extraction of the vehicle which is likely to take some time.

There is no information available at this stage in relation to any occupants of the vehicle.

A future release will be made when further information comes to hand.
