The Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand – Kaunihera Whakatupato Waipiro o Aotearoa – is launching a Maori community resource, ‘TAIHOA – Ease up on the drink’, in Wellington this Thursday June 14 2012 at 11.00 am.

Special guests will include Maori community champions from throughout the country who will speak about their work to reduce and prevent Maori alcohol-related harm.

The new resource is a tangible response to a community-driven demand for tools which support community activities to ‘Ease up on the drink’, celebrating and building upon the community spirit and momentum achieved by a wide range of individuals and groups.

The venue is Te Raukura – Te Wharewaka o Poneke, Odlins Square, Taranaki Street Wharf on the Wellington waterfront.
