Lane Closure on Powderham Street

A section of Powderham Street will be reduced to a single lane on one night next week as part of a stormwater project.

Powderham from Brougham to Currie streets will be down to one lane from midnight this Monday (9 July) until 6am Tuesday.

“Doing this work overnight means less disruption to traffic, but we still ask all drivers to take particular care during the lane closure,” says Manager Projects Mark Hall.

If this work has to be delayed due to wet weather, the closure will take place the following night.

This stormwater project involves replacing 90-year-old pipes with about 48m of new pipes.
