War on Weeds at Cycle Trail

A weed-busting working bee will be held at the Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail in Kaikohe next Saturday (July 14).

Weedbusters will clear pest weeds from a section of trail about 1 km from the Taheke Road entrance.

They encourage others to join them and ask interested people to be at the entrance at 8:30am.

Snacks and spot prizes will be provided.

People should bring wet weather gear and a spare set of clothes in case it rains. Gardening gloves will be provided.

The group would also welcome people who have tools including spray packs – please fill with water – wheel barrows, shovels, spades, rakes, picks, scrub bars and pitch forks.

Please note there are no toilet facilities on the trail.
