Victorious Magic welcomed back to Claudelands

Details of a public celebration for the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic netball team have been confirmed, with the ANZ Championship winners returning to Claudelands Arena on Thursday afternoon for special celebration event, hosted by the city.

Doors open at the Claudelands Arena, 3.30pm on Thursday 26 July. It is expected to last approximately 90 minutes, with limited parking available at the venue.

This will be a chance for everyone to see and hear from members of the team and their management support and the Mayor will formerly congratulate the team on behalf of the city. The afternoon timeslot was chosen so that fans from all over the Waikato can come along and see their netball superstars.

Commenting, Mayor Julie Hardaker said: “We are excited the Magic will be sharing their victory at Claudelands Arena which hosted a number of thrilling matches during this season. I’m looking forward to joining in the celebrations with the team and all their supporters.”
