Fatal vehicle crash

At 3.30pm today police were notified of a incident in Sullivan Avenue, Christchurch.

Two drainage trucks were backed up to each other and were pumping out the drains under the road when one of the trucks has rolled back trapping 2 workers between the two trucks.

Unfortunately one of the workers has died as a result of the injuries sustained.

OSH, Christchurch City Council, Police, Fire and ambulance are at the scene.

No further details are know at this time. Details of the deceased will not be released until next of kin have been advised.
