Auckland, New Zealand: Quickflix Limited (ASX: QFX), today announced the launch of its extensive new range of children’s television shows, available for the first time in New Zealand through its streaming subscription service.
Licensing deals for in excess of 300 hours of content have been completed for Australia and New Zealand with the ABC, BBC, Turner and Cookie Jar to deliver popular children’s TV shows such as Bob the Builder, Teletubbies, Thomas the Tank Engine, Inspector Gadget, Paddington Bear, Strawberry Shortcake among other top tier children’s programming.
Quickflix New Zealand Managing Director Paddy Buckley said “We are extremely excited to be expanding our offering of children’s entertainment. There has been strong demand for children’s entertainment since launching our digital service and believe this vastly increased range will be well received by existing and potential subscribers alike.”
The shows can be streamed on demand straight to a growing number of Smart TVs and mobile devices including Macs, PCs, Sony Bravia smart TVs, Blu-ray players, Playstation 3, Panasonic Viera smart TVs, as well as Apple iPads and iPhones.
Very shortly, the service will also be made available on Samsung connected TV’s and Blu-Ray players as well as Galaxy phones and tablets and through the X-Box 360 gaming console. Quickflix remains the only company in New Zealand and Australia offering unlimited streamed content for one low monthly subscription fee.
