Naenae youth are about to be officially handed their new recreation area.

Mayor Ray Wallace will open the Treadwell Street facility on September 1 during three hours of fun that will include a free sausage sizzle and drinks, the music of a DJ, a host of on-site activities, free access from 1-3pm to the Naenae Pool – and an opportunity to put forward suggestions for the park’s name. Activities run from 11am till 2pm.
