STRATFORD

The library plays a special role in the Stratford community. As well as a place to borrow books and find information, it provides access to computers and the internet, provides children’s programmes, and is a space for quiet recreation and social interaction. As users’ needs change, it is important that the library provides the types of facilities and resources that users demand.

The Stratford District Council are currently looking at what these needs are, and whether changes need to be made as a result. Next Wednesday, Council will be asking library users what they like and don’t like about the library, and what they would like to change if they could.

If you would like to participate, a Council representative will be available at the Stratford District Library on Wednesday 12 September, from 10.00 am - 4.00 pm to speak with you.

Survey forms will also be available at the library, Information Centre, Stratford District Council and online at Council’s website www.stratford.govt.nz. Survey responses need to be returned by Wednesday 19 September.
