WAINUIOMATA

John & Hazel Harris have just arrived from the UK (with their two 18 year old cats!) to set up the new Dream Doors Kitchen re-face franchise for the Wellington territory. Started ten years ago in the UK and having grown to over 40 franchises, Dream Doors co-founder, Derek Lilly, emigrated to NZ to launch the brand over here.

John has owned and operated his own property maintenance company, in the UK, for ten years carrying out kitchen and bathroom installations all around the country whilst Hazel, who is a business analyst, helped John with the administration side of the buisiness.

The couple have visited NZ every year for six years and decided to join their son, who is a professional sky-diver in Rotorua, and make the move. They think that the Dream Doors concept of 'Don't Replace It - Re-face It' will appeal to many people because, if the bones of the kitchen are good, why not keep the cabinets and just change the doors and drawer fronts and save $1,000's on the cost of a new kitchen. They also do benchtops of every variety and can supply appliances, sinks and taps at trade prices too. Dream Doors is the only kitchen company to publish all of their prices on their website for total transparency and peace of mind for the customer.

Having said that, Dream Doors can design a whole new kitchen on their advanced 3-D software, and supply and fit to the customers exact requirements. They are at the Westpac Home & Garden Show this year and their new showroom will open on the High Street, Lower Hutt in early October.
