Innovative and new for the coming season, Yates Fusion Series will fill your garden with colour, or cut and come again salad greens - depending on your preference - perhaps both!
Yates Fusion Series is a new technology whereby 3 – 5 seeds are fused together into small pellets, using very fine clay. Fusions are especially suited to container growing, but the salad greens can also be sown directly into the vegie garden. Pellets need to be sown 5mm deep to keep them moist and help break down the clay coating, allowing seeds to germinate. Plants fuse together as they grow, creating a stunning floral display, or fantastic mix of fresh salad greens, that can be cut every few days.
Ten fabulous Fusion Series varieties are available. Floral Fusions include Petunia Surfider and Petunia Summer Cascade – both a gorgeous blend of intermingling petunias and bacopa that will tumble elegantly from a hanging basket or tall urn. Four other stunning colour ways of mixed petunias offer something to suit every taste. The striking chocolate and lime-green foliage combination of Coleus Shady Lady is perfect for tricky shaded spots.
Those who prefer edible plants need to check out Fusion Series Salad Greens. Choose from authentic Mediterranean Gourmet and Oriental Gourmet mixes, or a simpler blend of red and green lettuces in the Urban Gourmet Salad Greens.
