The Hutt City Council’s older adult exercise classes are back for another term.

Recreation and events manager, Duncan Chisholm says “a regular exercise programme can help protect older people from common injuries and the exercises are really simple and effective – anybody can do them”.

“Besides all the health benefits, the classes are also a bit of fun,” he said.

Four classes are being held at the Moera Community Hall and the Horticultural Hall supper room during Term 4 (15 October to 21 December) and are run by qualified and experienced instructors.

Class schedule

Stretch + Flex classes run for one hour from 11.30am – 12.30pm Mondays, 15 October to 17 December in the Horticultural Hall supper room.
Zumba® Gold – Toning classes run for 45 minutes from 11am – 11.45am Wednesdays, 17 October to 12 December in the Moera Community Hall.
