APO offers musical journey to Europe - Literally!

The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra is giving music-lovers who subscribe to its 2008 Season the opportunity to win a trip for two to Italy.

The prize includes airfares to Italy thanks to the APO’s official airline, Qantas, and a week in a Tuscan villa courtesy of longtime APO supporters, Eurovillas and Tours. All subscriptions received by January 21, 2008 will go into the draw for the trip.

The APO 2008 Season includes five series of concerts: the APN News & Media Premier Series, Vero Aotea Series, Symphonic Pops Series, Splendour of Beethoven Series and the Twilight Series. It will also present an Opera in Concert performance of Salome and a new Choral Masterpieces concert.

In addition to full subscriptions to each of the series – which range from three to 12 concerts – the APO offers a Mix’n’Match option and a Flexi Pass, allowing people to pick and choose the concerts they want to attend from the different series (minimum of four tickets). Subscribers receive priority booking and guaranteed seats and savings of up to 40% on single ticket prices.

All subscribers will also go into the draw for a second prize of a luxurious escape to Hilton Auckland including a night’s accommodation, cocktails at Bellini bar and breakfast at award-winning restaurant, White, and a third prize of a year’s subscription to the Arts Channel (for existing Sky Digital customers) and 10 classical music CDs from Marbecks. The first 100 new subscribers will also receive a complimentary six-month subscription to either NZ Woman’s Weekly or the Listener courtesy of APN News & Media.

The prizes will be drawn at the first APN News & Media Premier Series concert for 2008, Playing With Fire, on Thursday 21 February at the Auckland Town Hall, THE EDGE.
