Emergency services attended a fatal accident near Waimauku in North-West Auckland yesterday.

The crash occurred at 4.30pm in the afternoon at what residents said was "A busy time for motorists".

(The motorcyclist is reported to have died at the scene by 3 News)

The occupant of the car has recieved minor injuries.

State Highway 16 was closed for quite sometime at Woodhill, 5km north of Waimaku and diversions were put in place as they scene was cleaned and investigated.

Investigations are still underway.
