Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Nelson Assault

A 39 year old male has been arrested in Picton for a serious assault on a Nelson man on Friday the 12th October, 2012, at a Washington Valley Road address.

The Nelson man received a severe wound to his throat in the incident.

Picton Police located the man, at 4.33pm today, and took him into custody without incident.

Nelson detectives have interviewed the man, and he has been charged with attempted murder.

He will appear in the Nelson District Court at 2.15pm on Monday the 15th October, 2012.
