Police have closed the section of  Wainui road between Whites Line East and the off ramp at Gracefield Rd. 

Motorist coming out of Wainuiomata will need to exit onto Gracefield Road until further notice.  Police,Fire and Ambulance are in attendance at the scene of a crash involving 5 cars.  One person was reported as being trapped.
