At about 1020hrs a truck that was travelling south on the southern motorway struck the Penrose overbridge.

As a result there are pieces of concrete on the southern motorway in both north bound and southbound lanes.

The motorway lanes are open but traffic is slow.

The overbridge is being checked by engineers.
