Police are investigating the robbery of a KFC outlet at Papatoetoe.

Shortly before 1am police were told that two males, one armed with a long barreled gun had left with a sum of money.

The offenders are described as Dark skinned, one large build and other slim, both wearing blue hooded jackets.

They left the outlet on foot towards East tamaki road.

Police are seeking information of persons and vehicles acting suspicious at about 1am this morning in the nearby area.
