Waitakere Police are investigating a serious sexual assault which occurred in the Hobsonville area yesterday afternoon.

A 15 year old female student was walking along Hobsonville Road close to the Hobsonville RSA when a white late model vehicle pulled up along side her between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

The victim was a 15 year old female wearing a school uniform coloured grey and has long blonde hair.

The driver of this car drove off with the victim subsequently sexually assaulted her.

He is described as a dark skinned male aged in his forties of solid to fat build.

He was driving a white late model hatch back vehicle.

Police are interested in speaking to anyone who was in and around the Hobsonville Road area between 12.30 and 1.30pm today who may be able to provide details to assist Police with the investigation.
